Almost half of women will face these common symptoms and not know where to turn. Luckily, there is a safe and painless solution that is changing the lives of millions of women: MonaLisa Touch.
MonaLisa Touch: Laser Therapy for Vaginal Atrophy
MonaLisa Touch is an FDA approved laser therapy that is used to treat vaginal atrophy symptoms, including: vaginal dryness, pain during intercourse, itching, burning, and bladder dysfunction in a simple, fast and effective manner. There is no surgery required. Dr. Peter Palacio proudly brings MonaLisa Touch to Central Oregon. VIVA! GYN remains committed to offering the most advanced gynecological care to enhance your health and vitality.
How Does it Work?
Instead of surgery, MonaLisa Touch uses a special fractional CO2 laser, specifically crafted for the vaginal mucosa (the mucous membrane inside the vagina). During menopause, or following the birth of a child, vaginal tissue loses estrogen and collagen. This can cause the frustrating symptoms associated with vaginal atrophy. MonaLisa Touch works to prevent and resolve estrogen levels to drop, and reactivates the production of new collagen. With new collagen and restored estrogen, the vaginal mucosa can return to conditions before menopause or childbirth.
The CO2 laser safely and painlessly works on the vaginal walls using a special scanner. Microlesions are then created to trigger a process called neocollagenesis, which is the production of new collagen. This new collagen will reorganize and restore equilibrium to the components of the vaginal mucosa–providing vaginal tightening and more elasticity. As a result, your urogenital structures will be improve, while simultaneously improving symptoms associated with urinary dysfunction. Additionally, a tissue regeneration process will be trigged (which lasts several weeks), and collagen & estrogen stimulation is instant. This is an ideal method for vaginal wall rehydration, functional vaginal tissue restoration, and can contribute to improved sexual pleasure and self-confidence.* Significant improvements can be seen after the first service.*
